As a Liverpool wedding photographer who shoots everything on film, this one was extra special.
Libbie isn’t just any bride — she’s my assistant — and seeing her marry Aron this summer was honestly magic.

A Bride Right Out of Old Hollywood
If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with old Hollywood films.
The glamour, the light, the stories — that’s what I try to capture in every frame.
Libbie’s look couldn’t have fit that world more perfectly.
Her dress had that effortless satin drape, and her veil caught the wind like something from a 1950s film still.
Add her cat-eye sunglasses and that vintage-car moment, and you’ve got pure Marilyn Monroe energy.

St. George’s Hall Wedding Ceremony
We started the day at St George’s Hall, one of my favourite wedding venues in Liverpool.
It’s grand, timeless and looks incredible on film.
Think sweeping pillars, soft window light, and that classic architecture that feels like a movie set.
And speaking of movies, Libbie looked straight out of one.

Portraits in a 90s Vintage Car
After the ceremony we took portraits in a vintage 90s car that looked straight off a movie lot.
Film just loves that kind of light — soft, warm and full of nostalgia.
The city was buzzing, people waved as they drove by, and Libbie and Aron looked like Hollywood movie stars cruising through Liverpool.

Drinks, Laughs and Guinness at the Monroe Pub
The reception was at The Brunch and Cocktail Club, one of Liverpool’s best spots for a laid-back celebration.

But one of my favourite parts of the day?
The group shots outside The Monroe Pub — pints of Guinness in hand, everyone laughing, the kind of moments you can’t pose or plan.
That’s what film photography does best.
It keeps things honest.
Real.
Unfiltered.

Why I Love Shooting Film Weddings in Liverpool
Liverpool is a dream for film photography.
The mix of old buildings, soft coastal light and character everywhere you turn.
Every frame feels alive.
And when it’s a couple like Libbie and Aron — stylish, genuine and madly in love — it’s even better.
Find below a curated selection of some of my favourite photos from their day.
If you’re planning your own Liverpool wedding (or anywhere in the world) and love the look and feel of film, I’d love to capture it for you.
Because nothing beats the timeless magic of film wedding photography in Liverpool.
